Our Story

🪓 From the Field to the Front Porch

Rockwood Preparedness began with one core belief: You should never feel helpless in a crisis.

As a retired U.S. Army and US Marine Corps Veteran with Special Forces training, emergency response trainer, and lifelong student of resilience, after decades in uniform, I saw a dangerous truth: most people aren’t prepared for what can—and will—go wrong. Not because they don’t care… but because no one ever showed them how.

That changed when I started training emergency responders. I realized that the same skills I taught in the military —situational awareness, emergency response, improvised defense, and planning under pressure—could save lives in our backyards.

So I built Rockwood.

Not as a bunker-building fantasy club, but as a trusted resource for real people who want to feel safe, act fast, and take care of those they love.

💡 What We Stand For
  • Preparedness without paranoia

  • Practical skills for real-world threats

  • Family-first, community-strong mindset

  • Training that empowers—not terrifies

🛠️ From Battle-Tested to Backyard Ready

Every checklist, course, and guide we offer is drawn from experience—tested in crisis zones, refined in training rooms, and adapted for your home, school, church, or street. Whether you’re bugging out, hunkering down, or teaching your kids how to stay sharp in a dangerous world, Rockwood is here to lead the way.

Because survival isn’t about fear. It’s about freedom, responsibility, and confidence.

And that’s our story.
